Words of Life: April 9th 2014 – Servant Attitude
After reading a favorite quote from the Bible in Philippians 2:5 that says, “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus,†I realized we have a tall order to fill. We are encouraged to be like Christ. But this is not an impossible feat. Even though Jesus is God, He was also a human person. He was hit with the same temptations that we face. Jesus did something very beautiful and real. He left heaven with God and came to earth to be with us. When He came to earth He behaved in the role of being a servant. He came to serve. This is what being a real Christian is all about; we should serve one another. Look for ways to serve people in your family this week, look for ways to serve others at work, look for ways to serve a stranger and the grace and love of God will flow into your life.
