Words Of Life: We’re all on a Journey Nov 12th 2014

Words of Life for this week are:   We’re all on a Journey

Last week I went on a bus ride through several northwest cities.  It was called, Journey to Mosaic.  Journey to Mosaic is a trip where two people of different races sit on a bus ride to together to deal with the subject of Racial Righteousness.  We traveled to significant sites where injustice was done in the present and past.  We got off the bus and had group discussions and heard from many northwest residents that have experienced discrimination.  These discussions were all done with the sense that we desired to build a stronger community and unity in the body of Christ.  Christ makes the difference in talking about this volatile subject.  I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his church is the last answer to deal with the subject of race in America and here in the Pacific Northwest.  I developed new friendships with some of my white brothers and sisters and we intend to continue this discussion.  I also hope in the future to have serious discussions at Tigard Covenant Church on this subject.  Let’s remember what the Word of God says in Galatians 3:26, “ You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ….. you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Be blessed as you make your journey,

Pastor David Greenidge
