Love, Unity and Forgiveness

We are continuing our sermon series on the body of Christ.  We are looking at the virtues of love, unity and forgiveness.  These are important virtues that create an environment where the body of Christ can function properly.  In the body of Christ there are imperfect people who come together, sometimes the flesh takes over, and we are not loving or kind.  We must continue to remember what the Apostle Paul said, “I am crucified with Christ.” What did he mean?  He meant the desires of the flesh will not take over the will of the Holy Spirit working in our lives. There is another important verse of scripture that keeps us on the right path of not following the flesh.  It is found in Philippians 2:13 and it says: “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”

Let God work in you and let the focus be Him, not us,
