The Choice
Email or call me and let me know (David@tigardcovenant.com (503) 639-3084).  I really want to know.  Each of you has a choice on whether you will take me up on my offer.  You can call or email me and let me know how you are doing.  You can also see me in person. this Sunday, at Tigard Covenant Church(TCC), and also let me know how things are going in your life.  You have a CHOICE on whether or not you respond.  I will delve into the subject ofchoice this Sunday in my talk at TCC at10am.  We have all been given the right to respond and choose by God Himself.  He created each of us with freewill or choice.  We can choose whether we want to get married or not.  We can decide whether we go to one college or another.  We can choose whether we will follow and serve Jesus Christ or not.  Jonah had a choice when God summoned him to go and speak to the nation of Nineveh.  He chose not to obey God.  Sometimes we have a rationale when we make our decisions.  Jonah had a decent rationale in his own mind.  He didn’t want to go because he knew God was a merciful God and that if the people in Nineveh repented, God would have mercy on them.  Jonah was not as merciful as God and he wanted this foreign nation to perish.  Do you and I care about the people of the world that are misguided and are committing acts of indecency.  Jonah didn’t care and sometimes we don’t care.  We have a choice in the matter.  Let me appeal to your conscience and your heart.  Please reconsider.  Let’s care for those around us who are making poor choices.  Let’s show them we choose to care and love them.
