Words of Life: Run your Race Well – Dec 2nd 2015

  • by

Words of Life for this week are:

Run Your Race Well

In the 3rd chapter of Philippians, the Apostle Paul uses the analogy of running a good race and connects that to a person who lives their life in a way that is pleasing to God. This type of person doesn’t look back when running a race, but instead looks forward toward the goal line. This person wants to win the prize. Our prize is seeing Jesus Christ in heaven. Our satisfaction is to make good choices in life that will speed us onward to our heavenly destination. Our value system is based on heaven’s priorities, not worldly pursuits. As we learn from our past mistakes, we ask God for His forgiveness, and we press on to rid ourselves of bad influences and join in with fellow believers who have the same goal in mind, which is to run your race well

Follow me as I follow Christ, and let’s finish our race strong,

Pastor David Greenidge
