Words of Life for this week are:“Rescue the Perishingâ€
Psalm 1, in the Bible, encourages us to walk in step with God and not walk in step with people that do wicked things. This is tough to do. I think all of us know people that are brash, rude, inconsiderate, and sometimes mean. But we should not stop having company with these kinds of people. I have friends that sometimes display these bad qualities and I have decided not to cut them off. I still keep company with these kinds of people. The key is to follow the example of Jesus. He kept company with sinners but He didn’t let their bad deeds influence Him. Instead, He had an impact on them. Many of the people decided to change their ways because of what Jesus said and how He lived. We can still hang out with people that have issues, but let what’s inside of you rub off on them. If you become weak, then it’s time to cut them off. Keep coming to church, reading your Bible, and having fellowship with other believers and you will remain strong.
Rescue the perishing, care for those in need.
God bless you,
