Words of Life for this week are:”Counsel From Aboveâ€
There is a verse in the Bible in Isaiah 9:6that says that Jesus Christ is the “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty Godâ€. Todaywe all face difficult situations that call for counsel from a trusted advisor or close friend. We all need a second opinion from someone that really understands what we are going through when those difficult times occur and they seem to hit us in the face. Jesus came to earth from heaven and experienced many of the adversities that we all encounter. He comes to each of us todayas one who really knows us, and really can empathize with our pain. He went through many of the frustrations and pains we all face. This same verse in Isaiah says that the government will be on His shoulders. He is the only true God-man that can give us good counsel in our time of need. He also works through people to speak to us on his behalf. He works through mature believers in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Pastors, prophets, elders and deacons. The Bible says where two or three people are gathered in His name, He is there. Today, I recommend the Lord Jesus Christ to you as a counselor. He is the Mighty God that cares about your struggles and problems. He is a good listener and will communicate back to you through His Spirit, the Bible and other people He will send your way. He is the bestcounselor I know.
