Words of Life for this week are:“Get Readyâ€
Jesus came to the Earth from heaven over 2000 years ago. He was born in lowly and poor conditions, in a barn, in a manger. He grew up and became a carpenter. It was on a wooden cross that He died for the sins of all humanity. He arose from the dead on the third day and appeared to His close friends and over 500 others to show them His power over the grave. He is revered as the greatest of all time and He is in fact the son of God. There is a wonderful scripture in the Bible in Isaiah 11 that describes His return to the Earth; He won’t come as a lowly servant but He comes back as king and ruler of the whole Earth. Isaiah 11:2 says,†the spirit of the Lord will rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and of power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord, and He will Delight in the fear of the Lord, he will not judge by what he sees with his eyes or decide by what he hears with his ears, but with righteousness he will judge the needy with Justice. He will give decisions for the poor of the Earth. He will strike the Earth with the rod of his mouth, with the breath of his lips. He will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.†Jesus will bring peace on the entire planet and there will be no more suffering at the hands of evil and wicked people because He will establish a new standard of living. We celebrate Christmas which is the coming of the Lord, His birth and His return. My mission is to prepare you for His return. There is another wonderful passage in the Bible in Hebrews 9:28 which says, “so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people and He will appear a second time not to bear sin, but to bring Salvation to those who are waiting for him.†Give your heart to Jesus and start living for Him so you will be ready for His return.
God bless you,
