Words of Life for this week are:“We Are All Like Grassâ€
The Bible tells us in Psalms 103 that we are all like grass. What an interesting and insignificant metaphor to use for human beings. In Genesis, we are told that we are made in the image of God, but here we are reduced to being like grass. On the one hand, we are creative powerful people that do wonders, but on the other hand, we are mere mortals that with time are no more. What a contrast. This helps to keep me centered on God and stay in a humble posture. Each day I realize that without God and his love operating in my life, I would cease to exist. So let me close with Psalm 103:15-17 and be encouraged: “The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’S love is with those who fear him…â€
