Words of Life: “Connecting With a Meal” May 4th 2017

Words of Life for this week are:“Connecting With a Meal”

Americans, and the other peoples of the world, spend a lot of time enjoying each other’s company over a meal. There is an amazing outcome when people come together over a meal. Having a meal together puts most people in a good mood. It refreshes each person. It brings energy to the body and we can think clearly and communicate with words that state the intent of our hearts. One of the greatest leaders of all time had many meals with his disciples. Jesus loved his friends and shared a meal on different occasions. He had a wonderful meal with Mary and Martha. He had a meal with his mother at a wedding in Cana. He had a meal with his disciples before he was taken to the cross. Meals bind us together in love when we follow the example of our Lord and Savior. Meals enable us to appreciate the good in each other. Eating a meal together with another person helps us to build our relationships. Make it a good day by calling up a friend or someone that you want to get to know better and have a meal with that person. It will do your body and your soul a lot of good.
