Words of Life: Protection
This week is the anniversary of 9-11. It happened seventeen years ago, and yet the memories of that dreadful day are still fresh in our minds. I was talking with a friend of mine, and he said that there have been many more people who have died as a result of the smoke and deadly gases that emerged that day. How do we protect ourselves from the attack of the enemy? We have a God that reigns supreme over the affairs of the world. While there are some things that He allows to happen, there are other things that He will prevent from occurring. In the meantime, my trust is in him. King David found the comfort and protection of God and wrote these words in Psalm 18: 1-3, “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.â€
