It’s a New Year, It’s a New Day
2019 is here! We are at the beginning of a new year, and many have made new Year’s resolutions. I propose we make a Gospel Resolution! The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ. He came and died for our sins. He arose from the dead on the third day. He is coming back to earth one day. In the meantime, we have been called as his servants to live out the Gospel message. The Gospel message is a message of love. God loves us and expects us to love him back. During the Christmas season, we extend our love to each other by giving gifts. We also extend good will to each other. This perfect setting should inspire us to give love all year long and tell others about the good news of Jesus Christ. He loves each and every one of us regardless of our failures and shortcomings. This is good news to someone who is feeling down about something they have done wrong. Let us be a beacon of hope and love this new year. Each new day is an opportunity for us to spread love throughout the year.
