Follow Christ Always
In American culture and life, it’s very easy to conform to what others are saying and doing. For example, during Super Bowl week many people bought new televisions, hosted or went to Super Bowl parties and unfortunately, some drank too much alcohol. People were most likely talking about the game, discussing the commercials and predicting which team was going to win. While participating in these cultural events and activities, we must be mindful to always allow Jesus to guide our behavior. It can be hard to do at times, but more often than not we can follow his example if we stay close to him on a regular basis. If my normal routine is to spend time with him in the morning by reading his Word, I will be able to live for him while at the Super bowl party. I have a friend who told me he was able to be a witness for Christ at his Super bowl party. Isn’t that wonderful? He was able to talk about the Lord in the middle of the big game. He is a true follower of Christ, and he is not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us all follow his example and continue to take Christ into every situation we face.
