Words of Life Receive your healing
There is a true story in Mark chapter 2 of a man who was paralyzed. In this story, Jesus was preaching the word of God at a particular house, and it was so full of people there was no more room for others to fit in. The man who was paralyzed wanted to have an audience with Jesus. He was carried by his friends on a mat, but when they saw the situation they decided to take him to the top of the building. They made an opening in the roof and lowered the man down in front of Jesus. The first thing Jesus said was, “Your sins are forgiven.” This is very interesting. After Jesus forgave the man of his sin, He then healed him, and he was able to walk. One of the reasons Jesus may have done this is that we all need the forgiveness of God. Like the man in the story, seeking it should be our number one priority in life. Jesus died on the cross so that we might be forgiven of our sins. We are all sinners saved by grace. Only after receiving God’s forgiveness will our healing eventually come. Let’s share this message of reconciliation between God and everyone through Jesus Christ. When we are forgiven, we can have peace with God.
