You Belong to God
Exodus 19:5 says “…Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” God was getting ready to the give the people of God, the Ten Commandments, through his servant Moses. Before he could give his people his laws, he wanted them to understand they were his holy people that had a purpose and mission. Israel belonged to God and he expected them to obey him by modeling holiness to the nations of the world. You and I are God’s people. We must reflect his love by loving other people. We belong to him and we must do his will. Let’s not get distracted from our core mission of being a light to the people that are living in spiritual darkness. This is a time to show our identity, Christ followers that show love in tangible ways. God bless you.
