Repay Evil with Good
Life is not always a bowl of cherries. Sometimes we have good days and sometimes we have bad ones. No matter what we face, God has promised to take us through our struggles and pains. It comes naturally for most of us, when someone treats us in a bad way, to fight back and want to get revenge. Jesus told us to love our enemies and even turn the other cheek, when someone strikes us. We are told to repay evil with good. As we go through times of suffering and bad treatment, God is setting us up for the opportunity to actually bless the person that is persecuting us. This can only happen with the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives. When we ask the Holy Spirit to fill us, we are reminded of the example of Jesus Christ on the cross, where he forgave the people that were crucifying him. We can endure our tough times of suffering, by following the example of our Lord. Do good to others even when they do you wrong.
