God’s Grace
There are many new testament passages that start with the phrase, “Grace and peace to you from God our Father”. Why is this phrase repeated in many of the letters of the Apostle Paul? I think it’s because this is a very important and core message of our Christian Faith. God is so good and has given us his grace which comes as a result of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we ask God to forgive us of our sins and receive Jesus into our lives through faith, we receive God’s grace. God’s grace is his gift to us that saves us and keeps us.
How do we appropriate the grace of God in our lives each day? We may need to remember that each day, it’s ours for the asking. When we ask God to bestow his grace on us and other people, we are remembering that grace is present. God shows up each day of our lives to bless us with his grace. Grace makes the difference when you are going through a struggle. God’s Grace will comfort you. God’s grace with sustain you when you are being tempted to do wrong. Why not this very moment ask God to fill you with his Holy Spirit and then allow his grace to saturate your mind. God will bless you and strengthen for the day’s journey. Ask God right now to fill with his Holy Spirit and receive his grace.
Have a grace filled day,
Pastor David
