The Light has Dawned
When I was younger and I use to love driving across the United States, I would drive from New York to Seattle. I would usually drive with two other people. We were young and adventurous. We would drive throughout the night because we were in a hurry to get out west. I remember on one occasion; I was at the wheel driving from about 3am until about 6am. As I approached the early morning, it went from total darkness to a small ray of light, and then eventually the sky would light up with the morning sun. The sun was in a distance, but as I kept on driving, it got brighter and brighter until eventually morning arrived. There was light. This experience reminds me of Isaiah 9:2 that says, “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” Jesus Christ is the light that Isaiah refers to, and he is the answer for the dark times we are living in. People at first, don’t recognize that Jesus is the answer for the problems they face, but we as light bearers, we must tell people, Christ is the answer. This Christmas season, look for opportunities to share His Light and be a blessing to someone in need.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy Blessed New Year!
