Doing Kingdom Work
When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He said to them,” Our Father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” Jesus was making it clear that the things that are happening in heaven should occur on earth by the work of God and His disciples. As Christians today, we have very serious and important work to do on earth. We must be about doing Kingdom work. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the supreme ruler of heaven and earth because He is God. We must devote ourselves to what He wants us to do. When Christ’s church focuses on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to others, we are doing Kingdom work. The more we share the light of Christ in this dark world, the more lives will be transformed. The shooting that occurred in Texas this week is an example of how much we need the grace of God and the light of Jesus. The enemy invaded that young man’s heart and influenced him to do evil. We stand against the work of the enemy. We rise up as the light for Christ as we do Kingdom work. Let’s get busy and focus on doing Kingdom work and change our world.
