Father’s Day
This Sunday is Father’s Day and I wonder really makes a good Father. What are the indicators that a Father is doing well. The best example of a really good Father comes from my Heavenly Father. God is our maker and he knows us well. He made Fathers with the ability to love and serve others. Men tend to be task oriented. We like to do things and what makes a good Father is for us to do Good things. God demonstrated his creative abilities by making the world and doing a fine job of it. We can emulate our Heavenly Father by doing good deeds. The challenges for most men is doing the right thing. We can sometimes go side ways and starting doing the wrong thing. My encouragement to men everywhere including Fathers, is to do what God is calling you to do. Don’t let the enemy of your soul get you into something that does not please the Lord. So I leave you with this blessing that comes from Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Happy Father’s Day
